BRYONIA
   The root of BRYONIA ALBA, Lin. Hydragogue cathartic, irri. tant, emetic. Its principal use is in dropsy. It is prescribed also in chronic intermittent fever with enlargement of the spleen, in chronic bronchitis, in the early stage of whooping cough and in atonic dys pepsia.1
