Physician's Materia Medica on Catechu

ARECA
   Theseed of ARECA CATECHU, Lin. Astringent, anthelmintic. A remedy for tapeworm, especially in animals. Dose, 3 to 10 Grm. (50 to 150 grs.).1

CATECHU
   An extract from the wood of ACACIA CATECHU. (Lin.f.) Willd. A powerful astringent. Used to control passive fluxes and hemorrhages, both internally and as a local application.1
