Physician's Materia Medica on Corn Silk

CORN SILK
   The styles and stigmas of ZEA MAYs, Lin. A lenitive diuretic. A valuable remedy in all sub-acute or chronic inflammations of the urinary tract, in gonorrhea, cystitis and wherever a non-irritant diuretic is indicated.1

ZE-AN
   Aconcentrated preparation of CORN SILK, q. v. An efficient lenitive diuretic stimulating the renal secretion without causing - local congestion or irritation. A valuable remedy in catarrhal in flammation of the bladder and in all cases where there is irritation of the genito-urinary tract. Ordinary adult dose 4 c. c. (a fluidrachm), representing about one ounce of fresh corn silk.1

ZE-AN, LITHIATED
   Each fluidrachm contains the active constituents of one ounce of fresh corn silk together with Lithium Benzoate, 1 1/2 grs. and Lithium Salicylate, 1 1/2 grs. It is especially useful in cases where uric acid is present in the system in excess. Dose, 4 c. c. (a fluidrachm).1
