DIGITALIN (German)
   Glucoside obtained from Foxerglove, q. v. Readily soluble in water and therefore well suited for hypodermatic use. [The French Digitalin is considerably stronger, but is less soluble and is not so uniform a product]. Dose, 0.0006 to 0.03 Grm. (1-100 to 1/2 gr.).1

ELIXIR DIGITALIN COMPOUND
   Each fluidrachm contains; Digitalin (German), 1-100 gr.; Strych nine Sulphate, 1-50 gr.; Nitroglycerin, 1-100 gr. A most energetic stimulant, very prompt in action, especially useful in the treatment of surgical shock or collapse and in the cardiac depression following fever. The liquid preparation is commonly to be preferred to tab lets, and ought to be in the pocket medicine case of every physician. Ordinary dose 4 c. c. (1 fluidrachm).1
