SENEGA
   The root of POLYGALA SENEGA, Lin. Stimulant expectorant, diuretic, emmenagogue; in large doses emetic and cathartic. A valuable remedy in typhoid pneumonia, in chronic bronchitis with profuse expectoration and in the secondarv stages of spasmodic croup; used also in amenorrhea.1

SOAP-TREE (Quillaja)
   The bark of QUILLAJA SAPONARIA, Mol. Stimulant expectorant resembling Senega, alterative, detergent; used chiefly as an emulsifier.1
