UVA URSI (Bearberry)
   The leaves of ARCTOSTAPHYLOS UVA URSI (L.) Spreng. As tringent diuretic, having an alterative influence over the genito urinary apparatus, antilithic. Much prescribed in chronic pyelitis and cystitis, incontinence of urine, gleet, etc. The active constituent, Arbutin, is sometimes prescribed in a dose of 0.2 to 0.3 Grm. (3 to 5 grs.).1
