Physician's Materia Medica on Yerba Reuma

YERBA REUMA
   The herb of FRANKENIA GRANDIFOLIA, Cham. & Schlecht. As tringent, saline; used in passive hemorrhages and alvine fluxes, but especially as a topical application in catarrhal affections of the nasal passages, urethra, etc. For this use the fluid extract is diluted with from 2 to 5 times its volume of water.1
