Physician's Materia Medica on Zinc Carbonate

ZINC CARBONATE
   The medicinal properties of the pure Carbonate are similar to those of the Oxide, q. v. In ointment it is much used in moist eczema, infantile intertrigo and similar affections of the skin, but the impure native Carbonate (Calamine) is more commonly used rather than the pure article.1
