1. a substance found in tomato products. Lycopene is also found in some colorful fruits and vegetables such as watermelon, guava, papaya, apricots, pink grapefruit, and blood oranges. Lycopene is a carotenoid the body cannot use to make vitamin A. It is being studied in the prevention of some types of cancer.1
